established in 1999
Finding herself without a job in 1999, Lori Matzke decided to explore a more creative field than her accounting background offered. After running a small but very successful one line ad under home organizing in the local newspaper, it wasn't long before she rolled those skills into home staging... and she's never looked back!
Over the next few years, she honed her skills and by 2002, started offering classes for others looking to get into the industry nationwide. With her expertise as a working home stager, she was the first to integrate the business and marketing aspect into the course. By 2004 she had released the first book ever published on home staging, with her next publication scheduled for release in spring of 2014.
Considered a home staging pioneer, several principles with other companies in the staging industry now offering their own training and designation originally got their start under Lori's program, guidance, and direct supervision. "It just goes to show ya," she quips, "I am obviously just too dang good at my job!"
Still one of the only working home stagers in the country to offer training, she divides her time equally between traveling the country with training workshops and staging homes in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota metro area.
